Few days ago, I heard about JIO Preview offer while buying Samsung Galaxy J7, retailer told me about JIO and its various perks. Initially, I was sceptical but thought of giving it a try and I’m glad that I did. I had my curiosity to feed with some why, how and whether or not it was a marketing gimmick or not. Finally, my curiosity won and I took a JIO SIM.
Jio, also known as Reliance Jio and officially as Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL), is an upcoming provider of mobile telephony, broadband services, and digital services in India. Formerly known as Infotel Broadband Services Limited, Jio will provide 4G services on a pan-India level using LTE technology.
Jio is not just a telecom network, it is an entire ecosystem that allows Indians to live the digital life to the fullest. This ecosystem consists of powerful broadband networks, useful applications, best-in-class services and smart devices distributed to every doorstep in India. Jio’s media offerings include the most comprehensive libraries and programs of recorded and live music, sports, live and catch up television, movies and events. Jio is about creating connected intelligence for 6 billion global minds to unleash the power of a young nation. We are all set to change the way people work, play, learn and live.
Now that I have experienced it, I’m pretty sure that it’s not a marketing gimmick and unlike every other operator JIO isn’t fooling anybody with fake promises of unlimited data they are actually offering us unlimited data ( i.e. without any FUP). The best part is , the entire process is really smooth. My SIM was activated timely and they required minimal documents. Since then I’m using JIO SIM to connect to my friends and family, to share secrets , make calls , check updates and it goes on and on and on…
They offer ‘free unlimited voice calling’ , ‘Truly unlimited 4G data’ and much more. Now I don’t need to bother about my balance or even data pack. The benefits are really amazing. For students like me , it is a boon. What more can I ask? Nothing, I guess.
